Vision Cinema  l March 2021 – May 2024

Marcus, the founder of Marcus Gardens, approached me for a complete rebranding of his horticulture start-up. The goal was to create a fresh, visually appealing logo that would capture the attention of potential customers and set his business apart in the competitive market.

Logo design

When designing the logo for Vision Cinema, it was crucial for me to deeply understand their target audience, business mission, values, and overall vibe. As a fun and exciting alternative to traditional cinemas, with a focus on young adults, I aimed to create a logo that captured this spirit. By carefully choosing shapes and colors, I crafted a design that embodies the energy and vibrancy of the brand.

As shown in the design, I skillfully merged elements of a projector, a human eye, and a camera lens into the logo. The projector symbolises the company’s core as a cinema, while the human eye reflects both the “vision” in Vision Cinema and the company’s mission to revolutionise the cinema experience. The lens further emphasizes the cinematic focus. I chose bright, bold neon colors—pink and blue on a black background—to appeal to the young adult target audience and evoke a subtle, classic 80’s drive-in cinema vibe.

I created playful seasonal variations of the logo for Vision Cinema’s themed events. For their Christmas event, the design features snow accents and a Santa Claus hat perched on the ‘O,’ adding a festive touch. For Halloween, I replaced the ‘O’ with a spooky pumpkin, capturing the eerie spirit of the holiday. These customised logos not only enhanced the event branding but also connected with the audience by bringing a touch of fun and creativity to the seasonal celebrations.

Flyer design

Among the various marketing materials I designed for Vision Cinema, the A5 printed flyers stood out as some of the most impactful. These flyers were created for each event and were widely distributed to local residents, the council, and surrounding neighborhoods, effectively promoting the cinema and drawing in audiences.

Website design

I designed two distinct website versions for Vision Cinema: ‘Live’ and ‘Offline.’ The ‘Live’ version is activated during ongoing events and provides all the essential information, including upcoming events, film schedules, showtimes, and everything customers need to plan their visit. The ‘Offline’ version, used when no events are currently running, offers a visually engaging overview of Vision Cinema, designed to entice visitors to subscribe to the newsletter and stay informed about future events.

Social Media Content Creation +

Video Editing

I created social media content for Vision Cinema’s Instagram and Facebook pages, including static graphics, video reels, and paid ads. Throughout these efforts, I ensured brand consistency, aligning all visuals and messaging with the overall branding to maintain a cohesive and recognisable identity across platforms.
